Month of April

We have had such a fun month! here we go!

This squires name is Cool Bean(a fun coffee house that has a play place in the middle, we go there ALOT!) I'm guessing since Khloe loves it so much that's why she named him that...Anyways....Cool Beans comes right up to the back door and plays with us! I just waiting for the day he jumps inside the house....

I have developed a love for running. We found a park that is beyond fun for the kids to play at. When I'm not wanting to run to build endurance or having a fun run day we go there! 

Steve bought me this fabulous jogging stroller:-) its tall enough and soo light! 

I have signed up for a 5k on May 10 and the kids get to come with me! I'm trying to become brave enough to sign up for a half marathon in September...We will see how I feel in a month or two...

My Dax is honestly the cutest little guy ever! He is such a mommies boy!

We had his 9 month check up and He is WAY OFF the charts, and he is so skinny he doesn't even register on BMI charts for his age, he also has a huge head! and he has grown a FOOT since he has been born! The doctor said "its going to be sooo much fun watching this boy grow!"

2 more days till we close on our house!!

We had our final walk through on Wednesday and it killed me not being able to more in!(this pic is not from the walk through. the front door had not been painted and the yard wasn't in!)

 This month Steve turned 30! I can't believe it...30 seems so old! 

Steve's day started off by getting a massage for an hour.

I had wanted to go golfing during the day but it was soooo cold and rainy...He got to take a rain check..

and then at night I had reservations at the Melting Pot. I don't think either of us would go again for dinner. But desert was soooooo good! I'm hoping we go for our anniversary next month!!! 

 Steve wouldn't let me get a picture..he must be shy about getting old;)

Khloe is having a hard time getting rid of the paci!

 my friends school through a fun Easter party and the kids had a blast!

 one last one of Dax..he can now go up the stairs all by himself! 

25 days and counting!

All of a sudden out lives took off again! We are constantly at Home Depot or Lowes..garage door openers(they wanted $500 for one...it is about a third to put one in...we needed two!) blinds, bar stools...all the fun stuff that goes into making the house our home! As a result the kids have become excited to go because I've given in and drive the "bus" around the store...

even at the grocery store they have pulled off sitting in one...by the way I will NEVER do a Colorado case sale EVER AGAIN! people did not understand the sale. All the packages were torn apart because they only needed a couple... and the selection was horrible so was the pricing on most items...I REALLY miss Utah sales...

Seriously! Can you believe how mature Khloe looks?! and Daxton is almost always this happy! but look at Khloe....she is so grown up!

Daxton must be growing again...wait...he is ALWAYS growing...

I would say he spend 4-5 hours a day in his high chair...eating.. 

His favorites are cuties, cheese, pears, peaches and crackers!

Thats Khloe, she is in the stage of not wanting to nap but NEEDS a nap to stay happy. And this lovely stage has brought her to sleep in many random places...the best was under the kitchen table..

Daxton is going to be a trouble maker. Everything goes into his mouth. climbs anything he can reach. and bugs Khloe to no end...so we got a small cage!. Its been great, it comes outside, upstairs down stairs...really if Dax is going to be by himself for more than 30 seconds he is in it...

Buddy also gets into it alot..

Daxton also falls asleep randomly....it doesn't help we have all been trying to get over a cold!

Now the fun stuff....

we have exactly 18 days till the house is finished and 25 days till we move in! 

Last week we were able to take a peek inside! the cabinets are up. Today the counter tops were pretty close to being done and they started painting the outside! 

This picture looks kinda green but its not, its a dark brown, they still have the trim work and to paint the door red. I cant wait to move in!!! 25 days!!!

Trip to utah!

my mom, Khloe, Dax and I packed up for spring break and went to Utah! We spent the first 3 days in Park City visiting my brother and his family. while we were there it was sooo cold! The first day we tried to go swimming at the rec center. Key work TRIED... we got 3 kids dressed 3 adults dressed, went down the "big" slide getting our hair wet and some kid POOPED in the pool...it was an hour event with A LOT of work!  we had to wait 45 minutes before we could get in again so we decided to go to Del Taco and play in play place instead! we all go in and it was so much fun!

The last day in park city we ventured down to salt lake to the discovery center...OH MY GOSH! It was soooo cool! We could have spent HOURS there! Khloes favorite was the sucky pipes...im not sure what else to call them... put the balls in and they are sucked up and spit out into a bucket. I cant wait to make it back to Utah just to go to again!

 We were lucky enough to hit story time. Khloe made a bed before it started and she fell asleep during the book...my little girl kills me! 

 Daxton developed a milk allergy while we were on the trip...poor guy..

 after switching back to soy his rash cleared up... i really hope that he isnt allergic to cows milk past 1 year!

 My grandpa and grandma took us to Twizel Berry, its a self serve yogurt, and Khloe loved it! She also fell in love with my Grandpa! I loved the relationship that i watched grow between the two of them! 

 Khloe had no choice but to love the shower!

Daxton on the last night on our way home. He slept for 4 hours in the car and woke up when we got to green river. he was up till 1am...i was exhausted! 

While we were gone I received my licenced to do hair in Colorado! I was running out of time(4 days till I had to renew my Wyoming licence) It would have caused me hours of paper work! 

and our house is coming along! this week they are putting in cabinets and trim... We have 5.5 weeks left! I'm dying to get in! 

 

just an update

We knew this transition period would be hard but poor Steve is taking a HUGE hit with commuting AND running two stores...I can't wait to have him back at the smaller store...

He crawled into bed and two seconds later her was out, going on two and a half weeks and no day off...

He is such a hard worker!(and we REALLY MISS him)

 since moving we are ALWAYS outside...if its 32 or higher, its guaranteed that we will spend at lease 2 hours. It feels amazing!

Dax is just about to crawl...I'm really not excited about this...Just this Sunday i told a lady "we don't encourage movement". 

Khloe has overcome her potty issues. Leave it to my amazing grandma who said "just ignore it and make her clean it up" solved even pooping... this is her trike for being officially potty trained!

 Just another day outside!

 I found Khloe who snuck up after napping eating all the frosting off the brownies!

 Well next month it will be done! Today they finished the roof, installing the insulation and prepped the driveway to be poured! 

At our electrical walk through they estimated at the latest the end of April. We are so anxious to get in and get settled!

If you look to the right back corner of the 3rd car that will be my salon entrance! I am soooo freaking excited!

Daxton is growing up to quick...I remember enjoying Khloe grow up. sitting on the floor, reading, or just rocking her. I feel like Ive missed so much about this kid. We have been so busy in the first 6 months of his life. And that stupid "cloud" that new moms get after a kid is born, i feel like Im just coming out of it. FINALLY! I really enjoy when Khloe naps just so I get one on one time with him. He has started to move around on the floor, stand if holding on, and if Khloe will give him any part of her day he soaks it in. I just love him...Im a bit in shock that he is still as big as he really is...

 Khloe found this "Bed" at the furniture store the other night. The trashiest item in the store but she had soooooo much fun. Steve and I actually sat down and enjoyed her being entertained! 

She also told us Walter could have one of the beds...We miss our Cheyenne friends!

 Khloe sat the entire sacrament in time out....in a new ward, and a SMALL new ward, every family gets their own bench its so small:-) 

I think we made a good first impression!

 I found CUTE PJ's at $2 a piece the other day at childrens place. I was really hopping to get a cute picture of them smiling but Daxton is mad and Khloe was proud she made him cry...I just give up taking pictures...

 Many people have asked if its hard to live in my parents house...and no! I have enjoyed the simplicity of not having a house. I get to spend LOTS of time with my kids. Every night I get to rock Daxton to sleep EVEN if Steve is at work late. Every once in a while my mom will take Dax and Im able to spend the evening hanging out with Khloe. Im sure they are ready for us to leave but its been a  nice change of pace. 

On that note, at the most 2 months left till the house is done and 1 month down! and the house is coming along fast!

 our treat at Target, I LOVE THE POPCORN!!! and since i lost another 10 pounds(45 total!!) i figured I could splurge on a snack...

last but not least he can now go from sitting to crawling position...its only a matter of time before he is crawling...and he is ALMOST 7 months old! 

Trip to Idaho

The week we moved and tried to settle in, we got a phone call from Steve's parents letting us know that his grandpa(97 years old!) was going to be passing away soon. Steve had taken 9 days off and we kinda hopped that it would happen during the week he had off so we could enjoy a small trip to Idaho. That did not happen. In fact grandpa died the Tuesday Steve went back to work. Luckily we were able to take 2 more days off to go to the funeral.

Please don't think this sounds heartless, we all loved grandpa but he was ready to be back with his wife and it was the best thing for him. 

with that said...we had QUITE the trip!

on the way there I dinged the car, ripped my shirt, spilt everything that I tried to drink and hurt my knee! I'm 100% sure I need a mini-van but I'm not ready to commit to a "mom car". Khloe only slept for about 30 minutes of the 8 hour drive...Daxton didn't do much sleeping either...

This was Daxtons first time sitting in a high chair! 

 When we finally got home, Khloe and Daxton just sat and watched Bubble Guppies, it was perfect!

this is the most exciting thing ever....our foundation is poured, its behind the lumber, and today they started putting up the lumber up...I really don't know what they are doing, but Its looking great!
