summer fun!

 We have had so much going on this summer and I keep telling myself that I will blog about it...nope, I have no time! so here is a summary of what we have done!

 about 3 weeks ago we went to Idaho and got to play at grandma and grandpa Cobbley!! Khloe Was LOVES it there!

 Then back to real life in Wyoming...come to find out Khloe can play in our unfinished back yard for hours! all the rocks and flowers well weeds keep her  very busy!!!!

 In Idaho we went to a friends  hot tub(it was just luke warm) and Khloe played in it and finally loved the water! She can not get enough of it now! She loves on hot days playing in a bowl of water to drink!

 our doggie got kinda sick, he had a bacterial infection in his intestines. The vet guessed that he had a wild animals poop(he loves all kind of poop, its gross...) but he is back to normal after a round of antibiotics!

 Today was the day Walter came to play! My best friend has the cutest little boy and Khloe and him get along sooooo well! We see them at least 2 times a week! His mom is having a baby girl(yay!!!) and so he get to come to our house when she has doctor appointments! Poor Walter gets stuck in girl everything when he comes...At the beginning of the summer I found little swimmers for free(couponing is awesome!) and for some reason I bough smalls for boys and mediums for girls! Walter rocked the princess little swimmers!

 Seriously could this picture be any more awesome?!!

 I absolutly loved watching them play in the sprinkler...all they wanted to do was get super close open their mouth super wide and hope water would get in!

we have a lot to look forward to for the rest the summer...in 2 weeks Cobbley's get to come to our house!!!

new job!

Well I finally decided to bite the bullet and become a working woman again! I work two nights a week from 9pm to 9am and I get to sleep!! Im doing in home heath care at the assisted living place above! I have my second shift tonight and couldn't be more excited about it! The hardest part of working has been trying to get into a routine with Steve taking Khloe to the sitters house for only 3 hours. I think Steve is more nervous about taking Khloe to the sitters than I am about having one more thing on my plate!

Other than me working again nothing has happened in our boring life...except my best friend got married! I almost forgot! Jessie and Alex were married one week ago from today! I wish I had pictures but since I was maid of Honor I had no time to get pictures! hopefully the photographer will post a few so I can steal some!

Khloes Birthday!!

Khloe is Officially 1!! She was so lucky to have her great grandma and Grandpa Jensen, plus my family(minus Jeff, Lauren and baby Will) at her party! Originally I wanted to have a HUGE party, but quickly noticed no one really cared about her birthday as much as I did:-)! I guess that part of being a mom!! I scaled down to just family that could be there, it was super fun!:-)

 Alright do I look short or what?! But notice that is a full sized fridge next to us!(we were smiling at a different camera and all look super awkward here)

-we ended cake when she was wanting to rub it in here eyes!

This is also Buddy's day to celebrate! We adopted him on July 11 three years ago!!!

The day/night turned about better than I had even hoped for! Now its hard to accept that i have a 1 year old!

We are so beyond LUCKY!

I really don't know how we get so incredibly lucky! Last week Cheyenne got a freak rain/ hail /wind / whatever else you can think of storm! Pretty much everyone we know who has a basement flooded! (most people do NOT carry flood insurance) well we were one of the lucky ones who do not have a finished basement because both of our window wells filled up with water(twice) and the second time one window cracked and filled our basement! Now we had opened a window to let the water in so we would be able to save the actual window. I REALLY wish in mist of all this I grabbed a camera and took a picture! We only lost a box of cook books! How are we super lucky, the window broke and filled our basement?! The house we SUPER wanted(when we were house hunting) filled up with 5 FEET  of water. I actually cried when we found out that someone else had already bought the house..now I know we are so blessed! Ill take my broken window and box of cook books!

now on to my Khloe! She loves our front door. She opens it and closes it alllllllll day long! 

 She is always so happy and pretty much the easiest baby ever...I gave her a chair and she was happy to walk around it and hit it for a good 2 hours!

  See she has my eye color! She looks nothing like me and all like Steve but she DOES have my eye color!

 When Buddy goes outside to bark( we have no idea what to do about him barking...) Khloe Yells "BUYYYY" over and over again...And when she really gets into it she stands on her toes!

alright she is a Hansen at heart! look at that pose drinking her bottle! She was not feeling 100% that day and she stayed in her pj's all day and watched a movie(Beauty and the Beast probably 6 times) and a couple on demand Ummi Zoomies! 

Khloe is creeping up on her 1 year birthday...This year has FLOWN by!  

We are in Utah for the next two weeks!!!! We get to see Great Grandmas, cousins, and Grandma and Grandpa Cobbley!! I wish we lived closer to everyone, I miss big family functions but I DO NOT miss Rock Springs....

deck

We have been super busy doing house projects and we finally know why! The neighbors said that the guy who lived here before us was an alcoholic! and he did everything himself, while drinking a couple 12 packs! hinting why everything looks horrible and doesn't quite work right! our deck point in case. many boards were not screwed in, it hadn't been stained in 8 years...and he did it himself(doesn't meet code.) But we took care of all the problems that bugged us and made it look a lot nicer! no more splinters for us!!!

 We still have a lot to do( the awkward stones at the bottom?) and underneath we need to put the product on. But it looks sooo much better! we have actually started to use the deck!

Now we are removing all the rock in the back yard and putting grass in(well seed) and hopefully it takes and next year we will have a big yard to play in!

Khloe and I along with my parents drove to Utah for my nephews dedication! I'm super sad I didn't get any pictures of Khloe and William together! But like any church service Khloe runs the game! Right before it started she pooped, and in the middle towards the end she started to scream, so we ended up sitting in the front lawn. 

 

She has to be my daughter, She LOVES her Diet Coke!(no that's not hers...)

Khloes Great Grandma Jensen gave her this cool tractor(not sure what they are called?) But Khloe LOVES it! She seriously wanted to sit and point at everything outside today while we watered our lawn! She even petted a big dog tonight with out being scared( for those of you who don't know, we had an incident with 3 great danes, beautiful dogs but not when they get out of the fence and bite your little dog while on a walk!) We would like Khloe to enjoy being around animals, I think it teaches them to be nice and kind to everything! But after the big dogs she has been a bit scared of "bigger" dogs. 

I can't believe in less than two months my baby girl will be 1!!!

HOUSE WORK

 The past couple of weeks have been crazy for us, Steve had back surgery this past week, my brother and his wife come to Fort Collins the week before and the week before that we were in Idaho! I needed some R&R. Naturally I thought of house work(its better than any massage). Our front yard and our back yard is in desperate need of some help! The people before us didn't take care of the grass, the weeds that are growing rapidly(like 2 feet tall in the back yard, that our project for when Steves parents come out) or any of the plants. So I went to work planting 3 trees, 10 bushes and moved a bushed that is hanging on its last leg!

 This is the "before picture" see that HUGE bush thing in the front? Well that was a combination of a weed and a bush, that is the one I moved.

 its hard to see but all the weeds in the rock, and the awkward rock...

And after! the bushes I wanted were pricey so I went with the smallest one we could buy so I could do them in the front and down the driveway. So they are little now but with some love they will grow in! And no more weeds:-)

 of course Buddy helped all day "protecting" I mean barking at our neighbors.

Steve wanted to help so bad! It's kinda our thing we do together as a couple, we love doing house projects together, but with his back he just sat and watched, it was still fun having him outside with me:-)
